FLYERS: Rod Brind’Amour’s Finest Hour in Orange and Black

…Reasons like this one are why Brindy was so beloved during his time in Orange and Black. Early in his Flyers tenure, he was one of the few bright spots for a team marred in a string of seasons that included playoff misses. Eventually, he got his Cup, when the Flyers dealt him to Carolina in the Keith Primeau trade. He’ll have his number retired tonight in Raleigh prior to the Flyers-Hurricanes game. Is Brindy a Hall of Famer? Certainly not. However, does he deserve to have his number retired, as he was undoubtedly one of the greatest faces in the Hurricanes’ franchise? Absolutely.
