The Philadelphia Eagles announced their training camp schedule earlier today.
On Monday, July 26th, rookies and hand-selected veterans will report to Lehigh University. Three days later on Thursday the 29th, the veterans are required to take part in training camp.
Here is the schedule for the Eagles preseason:
Friday, August 13th vs. Jacksonville at Lincoln Financial Field
Wednesday, August 20th at Cincinnati (Prior to that game, the Eagles will take a two-day break from training camp)
Friday, August 27th at Kansas City
Thursday, September 2nd vs. New York Jets at Lincoln Financial Field
Eagles Flight Night, where the Eagles practice at night for the Youth Partnership program, will take place on Thursday, August 5th. Hopefully it doesn’t end as badly as it did last season. That’s when linebacker Stewart Bradley suffered his season-ending ACL injury.
In other news, the Eagles acquired undrafted free agent Boo Robinson today. The former Wake Forest graduate had 145 tackles and 12 1/2 sacks over four seasons as a defensive end for the Demon Deacons. He had very little production during his senior season due to a back injury.
The Eagles signed him to a three year contract with the hopes that he will add more depth to the defensive line. It seems like the Eagles are going with the motto of signing a large number of defensive players and hoping that a few of them can prove to be staple players in the future franchise.
