FLYERS: Prospect Refresher

One of the newer articles on the Philadelphia Flyers Official Website is about an update on the top prospects within the organization.  Al Alven brings you the article, and it’s – as always – an interesting read.

Lauridsen is a bright prospect in the Flyers’ organization

I always enjoy reading about the Flyers prospects because it gives me a chance to learn more about the men that someday will don the Flyers’ logo on their chest.  Highlighted in this update are Flyers prospects Jacob DeSerres, Dave Labrecque, Adam Morrison, Zac Rinaldo, Eric Wellwood, Oliver Lauridsen, Simon Bertilsson, Joacim Eriksson, and Andrei Popov.  One interesting three to note as that three of the up and coming blue-chips in the Flyers organization are goaltenders.  For a franchise that has lacked the all-important goaltender often in recent memory, it’s somewhat refreshing to see the young talent in between the pipes that the Flyers currently have.  Pay close attention to Oliver Lauridsen as well, a defenseman who’s currently playing at St. Cloud State.  He’s incredibly talented and may actually challenge for a Flyers roster spot as early as next season.

The Al Alven article comes complete with comments on each player by the Flyers’ Director of Hockey Operations, Chris Pryor.  Check out the article here.
